Many people carry questions they feel unable to say out loud, at church or at home. Why does God feel far away? Why do I still feel this way when I pray? What is my life really for?
Spiritual guidance gives you a calm, confidential space to bring those questions honestly, without judgement and without being told what to believe.
Questions are not the opposite of faith.
People often come to explore
Why faith and feelings can pull in different directions
Spiritual struggles are more common than most people say out loud.
Dry seasons happen to people of deep faith
Feeling far from God does not mean your faith has failed. It can be an invitation to explore it more honestly.
Faith and emotions affect each other
Exhaustion, anxiety and grief can make faith feel harder, and struggles with faith can weigh on your wellbeing. Looking at both together often helps.
Hurt can come from places meant to be safe
When pain comes from a faith community or leader, it can be hard to know where to turn. Your experience deserves care and respect.
How Funmilola works with you
An integrative approach, which means the way she works is shaped around you, not the other way round.
Your beliefs lead
Christian perspectives are included only when you ask. If you hold another faith or none, you are equally welcome.
Faith and feelings together
Gently exploring how your spiritual life and your emotional life shape each other.
Clear next steps
Where it helps, practical ways to move forward with decisions, relationships or rest.
Funmilola does not tell you what to believe or what to do. You explore your questions and options together, at your own pace.
What to expect
Every step is your choice. You can pause or stop at any time.
A free 15-minute call
A short, relaxed conversation to see whether working together feels right.
Your first session
Time to share what has brought you here, agree what you would like to work on, and go through the counselling agreement together.

Questions about spiritual guidance
Do I need to be a Christian?
No. Spiritual guidance is open to people of any faith or none. Christian perspectives are included only if you ask for them.
Will I be told what to believe?
No. Funmilola does not give advice or tell you what to believe. You explore your questions together, and your beliefs are respected.
Is spiritual guidance the same as counselling?
It is counselling with space for spiritual questions, offered by an accredited psychotherapist who works within professional and ethical standards.
Can I talk about hurt from a church or faith leader?
Yes. This is a confidential space, and your experience will be heard with care and without judgement.
How much does it cost?
Each 60-minute session costs £60. The first 15-minute call is free.
How does online counselling work?
Sessions take place on Zoom. You join from a private, quiet space where you will not be overheard, using a phone, tablet or computer with a stable connection.
What if I need urgent help?
Help Ariseth is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent support, call NHS 111 or Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.
