Questions about our counselling services

How do I know which counselling service is right for me?

Start with who the support is for: you on your own, you and a partner, or your family. If you are still unsure, book the free 15-minute call and Funmilola will help you decide. There is no pressure to book anything.

Are sessions online or in person?

Sessions take place online on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere in the UK. In-person sessions in Rainham are available by arrangement.

Do I have to want faith in my counselling?

No. Funmilola is a member of the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) and can include Christian perspectives when you ask. If you hold another faith or none, you are equally welcome.

How do I pay?

Your first session is paid securely online when you book. Cancel more than 48 hours before for a full refund. With less notice, the fee is not refunded, but you can rebook.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on you and what you are carrying. You review progress together after six sessions and decide whether to continue, change how often you meet, or finish.

What if I need urgent help?

Help Ariseth is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent support, call NHS 111 or Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.

Support is here when you are ready

You do not need to have the right words or know exactly what you need. A short, free conversation is a gentle place to begin.
