Why Help Ariseth exists

So that no one has to carry it alone

Many of the people Funmilola sees are functioning, but not at peace. They hold things together at work, at home and at church, and quietly wonder why they still feel empty.

Help Ariseth was created to be a safe, confidential place for exactly those people. A place where you can slow down, be honest about what you are carrying, and be met with understanding instead of judgement.

The aim is not to fix you. It is to help you understand what is happening inside, so that you can move forward with more clarity, steadiness and peace.

  • Emotional healing from stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma and grief
  • Personal growth, self-awareness and a clearer sense of who you are
  • Healthier relationships for couples and families
  • Room for faith and meaning, only if you want it
Her story

From the laboratory to the counselling room

A long career in science taught Funmilola to look for root causes. Counselling gave her a way to do that with people.

  1. More than 30 years

A biomedical scientist in the NHS

Funmilola worked in NHS laboratories, specialising in histopathology and neuropathology. It was careful, detailed work that showed her how closely the body, the mind and life experience are connected.

  2. A new direction

    Retraining as a counsellor

She trained in counselling and psychotherapy, bringing her scientific curiosity into a very different kind of care: listening closely to what lies beneath what people feel.

  3. Accredited practice

    An accredited psychotherapist

Today she is a BACP Registered Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, and a member of the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC). She works within both ethical frameworks, with regular supervision.

  4. Help Ariseth

Founder, author and creator of the 3 Pathways

She founded Help Ariseth, wrote The 3 Must-Do's in Life, and developed the 3 Pathways to Inner Peace, the framework behind her courses and programmes.

How she works

Counselling shaped around you, not a script

Every person arrives with a different story. Sessions move at your pace, and you stay in charge of what you share.

An integrative approach

Funmilola draws on person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches, choosing what fits you rather than one fixed method.

Faith, only if you want it

If you would like your Christian faith to be part of counselling, she can include it. If you hold another faith or none, you are equally welcome, and that is fully respected.

Online, wherever you are

Sessions take place on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere in the UK. In-person sessions in Rainham are available by arrangement.

Her framework

The 3 Pathways to Inner Peace

Funmilola's work looks at three relationships that shape how peaceful you feel: with yourself, with others, and with what gives your life meaning.

Pathway one

Intrapersonal

Your relationship with yourself. Understanding your emotions, noticing your triggers and learning to steady yourself.

Pathway two

Interpersonal

Your relationships with others. Building emotional and relational awareness, healthier boundaries and deeper connection.

Pathway three

Transpersonal

Your relationship with meaning, values and faith. Living in a way that feels true to who you are.

You can explore the pathways in counselling, or at your own pace through the Inner Peace Academy.
