Your Journey to InnerPeace

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Funmilola Sonubi, but most people simply call me Lola, and you’ll come to know me as The Inner Peace Counsellor. I’ve created this space with you in mind—because I know what it means to search for peace amidst life’s chaos, and more importantly, what it takes to rediscover it.

For over 30 years, I worked in the NHS as a specialist in pathology, deeply immersed in the study of the human body—its function, its struggles, its fragility. But in the process of serving others, I realised I had lost something precious: my inner peace.

That realisation began my personal journey of healing and transformation. I moved from analysing tissue under a microscope to understanding the heart and mind through psychotherapy. Along the way, I encountered challenges in my own relationships and life that led me to deeply explore what it truly means to live in peace.

This course is the fruit of that journey. These are not just theoretical lessons—they are tested, lived-through pathways that I’ve personally walked and now want to share with you. Each session is carefully designed to help you reclaim what you may have lost: clarity, confidence, and calm.

Here’s what you need to know as you begin:

  • Take it one step at a time. The course is structured for weekly reflections and growth. Don’t rush. True transformation takes time.

  • I will be with you in every session—not visibly, but fully present in spirit and guidance.

  • This journey is about you. Every session is your safe space for reflection and restoration.

  • We will be unveiling different pathways each month, starting with Self-Management, which forms the foundation for all the others.

You’ll also have the opportunity to join our monthly workshops, where we’ll dive deeper and offer space for any questions or clarifications you may need along the way.

Now, before you begin the first session, I invite you to watch the short video introduction. It will give you an even better sense of what to expect and how best to engage.
